    Small Town Gossip

    img150/4051/dscf1291bq9.jpg
    Field Museum远眺

    img150/1737/dscf1088ee8.jpg

Museum of Science and Industry,再到The Art Institute,晚上又稍带去了Navy Pier。

Navy Pier

    Bottom Line:

    While I'm Still on Line...

Wal-Mart”

    img225/8583/img0072pg0.jpg

    img80/6726/img0076as1.jpg
    Meditation Center,

    img81/7976/img0045dc7.jpg
    Daniel Boone(传奇人物,开拓肯州的先锋)铜像。

My Weekly Schedule...As If Anybody Cares

如不开会,则下午2点离开学校赶回家看3点的The Ellen DeGeneres Show和4点的The Oprah Show(路上顺便到此地的食品超市“Food City”买菜)。 晚11点半睡觉(此时睡不着就看The Late Show With David Letterman或者The Tonight Show With Jay Leno)。

The Great American Cooling Machine

学校的Provost是Nancy Johnson博士,见到我们第一句话就是“Sorry for the coldness!”

All Packed and Ready to Go!

My luggage is packed and I'm all ready to go. We are leaving on a jet plane from Beijing tomorrow afternoon at around 4. When we arrive in Chicago, it'll be about 4:30 am Saturday Beijing time, and we'll arrive in Lexington by 10 am Beijing time. I'll get to the school in Big Sandy hopefully by 12:30. The time difference between Beijing and Lexington is about 12 hours.

I feel so grateful for all the support and suggestions you've given me during these past few days! (You know who you are 眨眼) Please come back here frequently and check me out!!

As I've promised, as soon as I settle down and figure out the Internet connection, I'll come right back here and tell you all about my trip...until then!!

p.s. With my next update, I might switch my blog to Chinese, as I think I'll probably need to brush up my Chinese in an English environment!

Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae

A song that always makes me feel good..

    Put Your Records On
    by Corinne Bailey Rae

Three little birds, sat on my window.
And they told me I don't need to worry.
    Summer came like cinnamon
    So sweet,
Little girls double-dutch on the concrete.

Maybe sometimes, we've got it wrong, but it's alright
The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same
    Oh, don't you hesitate.

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.

Blue as the sky, sunburnt and lonely,
Sipping tea in the bar by the roadside,
    (just relax, just relax)
Don't you let those other boys fool you,
Got to love that afro hair do.

Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright
The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change.
    Don't you think it's strange?

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.

'Twas more than I could take, pity for pity's sake
Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger
When you gonna realise, that you don't even have to try any longer?
    Do what you want to.

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

Oh, you're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

You Have Been Loved by George Michael

    You Have Been Loved

She takes the back road and the lane
Past the school that has not changed
    In all this time
She thinks of when the boy was young
All the battles she had won
    Just to give him life

    That man
    She loved that man
    For all his life
But now we meet to take him flowers
    And only God knows why

For what's the use in pressing palms
When children fade in mother's arms
    It's a cruel world
    We've so much to lose
And what we have to learn, we rarely choose

So if it's God who took her son
He cannot be the one living in her mind

Take care my love, she said
Don't think that God is dead
Take care my love, she said

    You have been loved

If i was weak, forgive me
    But i was terrified
You brushed my eyes with angels wings, full of love
The kind that makes devils cry

    So these days
    My life has changed
    And i'll be fine
But she just sits and counts the hours
    Searching for her crime

So what's the use of pressing palms
If you won't keep such love from harm
    It's a cruel world
    You've so much to prove

And heaven help the ones who wait for you

Well I've no daughters, I've no sons
    Guess I'm the only one
    Living in my life

Take care my love, he said
Don't think that God is dead
Take care my love, he said

    You have been loved
